I want to share with you some product information that is vitally important. In July of 2000, we introduced a new product line called TAHITIAN NONI™ Smart Extracts. At the foundation of this product line was the highly concentrated and refined TAHITIAN NONI® Original Extract, made from our TAHITIAN NONI puree. Using this extract as a base, we formulated five additional extracts to address specific physiological needs:
Joint Health Cardio Health Memory (Mental Clarity) Stress Energy
These six extracts became fast favorites and we began to introduce them to our international markets, to great acclaim. You may or may not know that these products were very unique—unlike other extracts, they were not alcohol-based and did not use an alcohol-based carrier or preservative system. Our intent was to create the purest and most natural product available anywhere. We quickly found, however, that we couldn’t find a manufacturer to produce these products to our quality requirements. You may remember back in 2001-2003 when we experienced frequent interruptions of product availability for these extracts because of this manufacturing problem. We were simply asking more of our manufacturers than they could do.
In order to get these products back on the shelf and available to our distributors and consumers, we reformulated the entire line in 2004 and launched this new extract line in Las Vegas in 2004. The product formulas were improved in many ways from the original versions, but in order to guarantee a standard supply, we had to include a preservative carrier in each formula. The carrier we selected was glycerin. Of all the ingredients available to us, it was the least problematic.
In 2004, I charged our R&D department with the responsibility to begin from scratch and recreate our TAHITIAN NONI Extracts. I wanted a pure product—no preservatives, no carriers, no fillers. I wanted a product that was effective and loaded with the beneficial ingredients that we knew could really make a difference in everyone’s lives. R&D accepted the challenge.
This recreation process actually had two parts. Part one was to develop the new formulas. Part two was to find a consistent way to manufacture them to ensure an uninterrupted supply of product.
In order to accomplish both challenges, we knew we could not rely on outside manufacturers for these products. We knew that we had to blend, process, and bottle these products ourselves, in our own facility. In early 2005, the Board of Directors approved the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment specifically designed to blend, process, and bottle our new TAHITIAN NONI Extracts.
I am so excited to announce to you that this new product line will be introduced and launched at our International Leadership Conference in Hollywood in March. This is only one of many exciting announcements.
Let me spill some more information on this historic product launch for you:
Each new TAHITIAN NONI Extract will be formulated without the use of any fillers, carriers, or preservatives. They contain only pure, natural, beneficial ingredients. This alone allows us to go back to a much more convenient two-ounce (60 ml) bottle for every extract. The size of these bottles will conveniently fit in a purse or handbag and will come with a very convenient dispensing device to measure out the exact amount of product desired. The base of every product will be our original TAHITIAN NONI Fruit Extract, taken directly from our harvested fruit in Tahiti. The full line of products will be as in the past with products designed and named for:
Healthy Joint Healthy Heart (Cardio) Calm and Relax (Stress) Endurance (Energy) Mental Clarity (Memory)
Let me share some more highlights of our extracts:
- The new Healthy Joint Extract will provide 100% more glucosamine, 87.5% more noni, and 25% more curcumin per serving than the previous version.
- The new Calm and Relax Extract contains 100% more St. John’s wort and passion flower, and 20% more noni per serving than the previous version.
- The new Endurance Extract has been reformulated with more ingredients that help increase energy, as well as 20% more noni per serving than the previous version.
- The new Mental Clarity Extract contains nearly 2000% more gingko biloba and 30% more noni than the previous version.
- The new Healthy Heart Extract contains 100% more of the heart-specific ingredients than the two previous versions and 20% more noni per serving than the previous version.
Best of all, we control every extract “From Tree to Bottle,” just like TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. These new TAHITIAN NONI Extracts will be easier to use, far more convenient, and most of all, they will be more effective than any previous extract we have introduced. Finally, our vision of the perfect extract product line is being fulfilled. You can count on us making this product line known to everyone, everywhere.
I hope you are sensing that we are entering a new era of our company’s history. This is all part of Chapter 2. We are expanding our manufacturing capability to keep up with our expanding research and product development. What I have shared with you today is just a hint of much more that will be shown to you at our annual International Leadership Conference.
We recently closed the books on 2005, another huge growth year. Our growth was greater than we forecasted. We saw our products enter new markets in Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. We saw new offices open and many new leaders emerge. We saw one entire year of results from Success Path, and we are impressed with the results. Retention is up dramatically from any past year. I have no doubt that we will see even more profound results this coming year.
I know each of you feels the thrill of seeing a new year come into our lives. We all sense new hope and new possibilities. I’m going to help you with your New Year’s resolutions. . .
