Fitness Destinations Television has Launched!

Over the course of the last few years of me being a personal trainer, and Shanna and myself both mastering programs like Insanity and P90X, as well as being Fitness Coaches for Beachbody, our wealth of knowledge about health, weight loss, and exercise has grown exponentially. With the official launch of FitnessDTV (Fitness Destinations Television), we can now share that information with you!

This will be an on-going video series where we talk about and help you with all things health, fitness, and weight loss.  On tap already, our list of categories to create content for include:

  • Exercise - effective exercises, as well as how to do them to get the most benefit, and also  how to modify as needed based on your fitness level or any applicable limitations.
  • Q & A – as we get questions from our  hundreds of Coaching clients, we will be recording answers to those questions so you can benefit from real-world information being sought by the fitness-seeking public.
  • Flavor of the Day – as we come across nutritional recipes, supplements, or other ways to fuel your healthy lifestyle, we will be sharing the inside scoop on tasty ways to stay in shape.
  • Product Reviews – we will be sharing candid peeks behind the scenes of today’s popular exercise programs so you can find out what it’s REALLY like to do them, rather than just what the marketing hype tells you.
  • Motivations and Modifications – this content will be geared towards helping you stay on track from an emotional standpoint, including ways to stay engaged even if you have specific health or physical conditions that create challenges for you.
  • Anything & Everything – despite our personal brainstorming sessions, we are well aware that new ideas or requests will come up for specific content, and we will create videos for anything that is worthy of the valuable time of our viewers.

So, without further ado, here is the introductory video that Shanna and I put up about the new video series, and we have already recorded additional content that will be posted in the very near future.

Fad Diets are Dying and with Good Reason

I am very happy to report that fad diets are finally dying away as more and more people realize that fad diets are not the answer to long-term weight loss and health.

If you want long-term weight loss and lifelong health, it’s about making smarter choices and doing everything in moderation. Realistically, most people aren’t going to completely give up some of their bad habits or their favorite foods, so even if fad diets were effective, they were never a long-term solution.

So what is the long-term solution then? Practicing moderation, and getting enough exercise to burn off the excess calories that you consume when you indulge in foods and beverages that have more calories than you actually need.

Doing What it Takes to Get There

The difference between people who accomplish their dreams and people who don’t is very simple. People who accomplish their dreams are willing to Do WHATEVER it Takes to make it happen!

In the end, that’s all it boils down to. Are you or are not willing to do what it takes??

HARD TRUTH: 95% (or more) of you who are reading this don’t have what it takes to get the job done. Oh, you have DESIRE for change, but you don’t have what it takes to stick it out long enough to see the results that you are looking for.

Just look around the world and you will see this to be true. Close to 2/3 of the population of the United States is overweight. Of the 1/3 who aren’t, most of them aren’t healthy, they just aren’t fat. They are “skinny fat people” or they are just naturally skinny and have a horrible metabolism and/or diet because they don’t exercise or they eat crap all the time since they don’t gain weight easily.

Are you in the 5% or the 95% crowd?

If you aren’t in the 5% crowd – or aren’t willing to JOIN that crowd – then you can stop reading right now. Nothing that anyone tells you will make a difference, so stop wasting your time. Just go on being a member of the 95% crowd, and leave the REAL success and happiness to the rest of us. With 95 out of 100 of you not being willing to do what it takes, that leaves a BIG pile of joy for the rest of us!

<INSERT EXCUSES HERE>

Oh yes,  you’re life is different, right? You’re too busy, or too broke, or too sick, or too injured, or too <INSERT PERSONAL EXCUSE HERE>.

NEWSFLASH: Everyone has those same issues in one way or another, but 5% of them are still managing to achieve success! Why aren’t you?

Everyone has some sort of challenge, or roadblock, or special situation that makes it difficult to achieve success, yet 5% of the people still manage to pull it off.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but your situation isn’t special. No matter what your personal obstacles are, there is SOME way to overcome them, even if it means taking “baby steps” to get there. Baby steps will still get you to your destination eventually, as opposed to just sitting on your ass and doing nothing because of your alleged “reasons” for not being able to get the job done.

The other 5% – Please apply within!

Empowerment through Physical Fitness

Being overweight is a SYMPTOM – without discovering the CAUSE, you will never lose weight!

I am a Beachbody Fitness Coach and I represent some of the best fitness programs in the world. However, the strength of a fitness program like P90X, Insanity, or RevABS is useless if you don’t first discover WHY you are overweight, and what your MOTIVATION is to finally lose the weight.

I see people buy P90X all the time who don’t get results. The off the hook intensity of Insanity still fails to deliver for some people. Even Brett Hoebel’s RevABS doesn’t create awesome abs for everyone who uses it.
