8-Count Bodybuilders are a great bodyweight only exercise because the movement utilizes many different muscles, including the shoulders, triceps, lower back, and abs, and most of the leg muscles as well. As a result of so much muscle recruitment, this is also a great cardiovascular exercise.

In order to get the most benefit from doing 8-Count Bodybuilders, be sure to focus on each stage of the movement, rather than just bouncing up and down. As your muscles become fatigued and your heart rate rises, you will be tempted to start getting sloppy.

Also, after the push-up portion of the exercise, keep your body in a generally straight line as you kick your legs apart and then bring them back together. Doing so will ensure that you get the most possible muscular stimulation for your upper body, as well as your abdominal area and lower back.

Ahhh, the 8 count bodybuilder…how I love thee! How about a combo of 8 count bodybuilders…jump up and chin up. Done for 50 reps total against the clock…1 rep each per round. Yeah baby!
