Work off those calories! We all sometimes eat more than we should, and most of us sometimes eat unhealthy food as well. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the occasional break from your normal nutrition program.

However, once the break is over, it’s not too late to practice some damage control. Believe it or not, every calorie that you consume when you overeat does not go directly to bodyfat storage. Some of it is used for energy, and some of it is stored for later use.

Now is when you need to use those excess calories, so get up off the couch and go do something! Ideally you would engage in some sort of a structured exercise session, followed by some cardiovascular training. However, even if you aren’t willing to do that, at least get up and go for a walk, or go play catch in the front yard, or go rake some leaves. ANY exercise is better than NO exercise!
