Welcome to Volume 32 of the Fitness Destinations Journal!

The Journal has been offline the past several weeks as we have been working on many other projects, not the least of which being our brand new Free Fitness Podcast! The podcast is an audio version of our free fitness tips, with a much more in-depth explanation, although still plenty short enough to listen to on a daily basis.

Also, as you can see, we have streamlined the Journal itself, taking out the Internet Resource of the Week, and the Humor section. As much as we liked those areas, keeping the content for them was an unnecessary financial and time drain, so we have streamlined the Journal so that those resources can go to more important things - like getting you better information about Health and Fitness!

To that end, our resident personal trainer - Aaron Potts - has written two 100% original articles for us this week. One breaks down the real truth about growing your business as a personal trainer - or any other profession for that matter, and the other answers the question, "What the Heck is an Exercise Modality, and Why Should I care"?

Fitness Tip:
Keep a daily food journal (for at least your first training program week). Be honest and be sure to mark down every piece of food that you eat. This will help you understand your eating habits and identify areas where you can improve. After keeping a journal for awhile, you will learn how much food you need (or don't need!) to stay within your recommended daily consumption. Then you probably won't need to keep your journal any longer.
 
Fitness Tip:
Don't think of any food as being bad. Foods are neither bad nor good. It's not necessary to completely eliminate a food from your diet (especially one of your favorites). You'll be better off by just eating it in moderation.
