The P90X Program Itself – Probably the most well-known and effective fitness program ever created, there is a reason why P90X has an almost cult-like following – because it works!
Whey Protein Powder – If you take no other supplement when doing P90X, this is the one that is most important! P90X is an intense, muscle-building program, and if you don’t DRINK (not eat) a high-quality protein after your workouts, you will not see the same results as someone who does. It’s just that simple.
Activit Multivitamin – Anyone involved in an exercise program needs a high-quality multivitamin. Not only does your body need vitamins and minerals just to be healthy, but the more intense your exercise program is, the more your body will need those essential vitamins and minerals to be replaced.
P90X® Peak Performance Bars – The P90X Peak Performance bars are a great way to make sure that you are getting high-quality carbohydrates and protein, and in a portable form that you can take with you to work, school, running errands, etc. There is no need to sacrifice proper nutrition just because you are going to be away from home!
P90X® Results and Recovery Formula – The P90X Results and Recovery formula is mentioned several times during the videos and IT IS YUMMY! Joint Support Formula – The idea behind resistance training such as that in P90X is that you push and pull on your tendons, muscles, and ligaments in order to make them stronger. All of that pushing and pulling can be hard on people who have weak or injured joints, however, so the Joint Support Formula helps to enhance the strength of your joints so you get maximum results without getting an injury.
P90X Resistance Bands – P90X can be done with dumbbells and/or resistance bands, although the resistance bands have the benefit of being the ONLY thing you need if you use them. If you use dumbbells to do P90X, you will still need either a strong resistance band or a chin-up bar in order to do the pull-up/chin-up movements that are a part of the program. If you use resistance bands, you do NOT need to also get dumbbells or a chin-up bar.
Adjustable Dumbbells – If you want to use dumbbells during P90X, I HIGHLY recommend adjustable dumbbells. The workouts can be pretty fast-paced at times, and it is a hassle having to stop the video in order to manually change the weights on your dumbbells. Adjustable dumbbells are expensive, but they’ll last forever and will quickly pay for themselves in the fact that you’ll never need to buy another set of dumbbells again.
P90X® Chin-Up Bar – The P90X Chin-Up bar allows you to do all of the pull-up and chin-up movements that are involved in P90X, and you GET STRONG doing those movements using this bar. For people not yet strong enough to do a regular pull-up or chin-up, you are shown during the P90X videos how to use a chair to support yourself until you are able to do those movements unsupported.
P90X® Plyometrics Mat – The P90X Plyometrics (or Plyo X) workout is one of the most intense workouts in the entire P90X program. It is basically “jump training,” and yes, it is as hard as it sounds. Using the P90X Plyometrics Mat minimizes the strain on your body, not to mention the impact on the floor at your house!
P90X® Yoga Mat – The P90X Yoga workout (or Yoga X) is probably the most unexpectedly challenging, yet wonderful workout in the P90X program. It is surprisingly difficult, and the benefits that you get from it are beyond debate. A yoga mat is a necessity, however, in order to stay in place during the challenging yoga poses.
